The Royal Scottish Country Dance Society ( Falkirk Branch) was founded in September 1933 and with over 120 members is still one of the largest branches in the UK.

The Falkirk Branch organises Dances and runs Classes to suit all levels of ability and agility !

Country dance classes are held throughout the week in and around  Falkirk, Laurieston, Polmont, Larbert & Grangemouth

A Ceilidh class is held in Falkirk on Thursday evenings.

Four Dances are held between September and April and a hugely popular Crieff Weekend of dancing is held every year in  January at the Crieff Hydro Hotel , attracting dancers from all over the UK.

Scottish Country Dancing is a great way of getting fit, making friends and above all having FUN!! No specialist equipment is required. Although soft soled dancing pumps are ideal they are by no means essential - any light, soft soled shoe/ trainer will do to get started. Clothes should be loose fitting for ease of movement - trousers or kilts for men and skirts, trousers or light dresses for women.

If you are interested in giving it a try, or have danced before and would like to get involved again, contact any member of the Committee who will help you get started with a free trial at one of the classes
